This assessment was taken at 14 years old to check progress in my auditory functioning after intensive Metronome and SAMONAS therapy.
- Test of Auditory Perceptual Skills-revised (TAPS-R)
- Auditory Perceptual Assessment
TAPS-R result indicates that child has below age score for rote memory (number memory in forward order). In contrast, child scored within normal range working memory task ie number memory in reversed order, word memory, sentence memory and auditory word discrimination. Poor auditory memory may affect her ability to retain auditory information which indirectly may affect learning and interaction with others.
Result – Auditory Perceptual assessment
Within normal range score in all subtests. Finding suggest that child possesses age appropriate auditory processing skills including binaural integration, binaural separation, temporal patterning, auditory closure, temporal processing and binaural interaction.
Below normal score in left ear for low pass filtered speech test suggestive of some functional difficulty with unclear speech or in the presence of competing noises.
No sufficient evidence to support the diagnosis of auditory processing disorder.
